Project Management Software TasksProject management software is typically used to perform four major tasks for project completion: 1. Defining and organizing all the discrete tasks that define the project. 2. The allocation of all resources (people and tools) that are needed to complete a project on time. 3. The scheduling of all tasks on a timeline, showing task dependencies, duration, and start and stop dates for each task. 4. Comparing the budgeted (planned) project outcome with the actual project outcome, based on the total time, money and resources expended. Simply put, whether the project was completed on time and under budget. |
